Step 1: What’s Your Eye Color?

For beautiful brown eyes, gold is your friend. Try using it as an accent color for eyeshadow shades like green, which contrast nicely with your darker eyes. With brown eyes come fantastic gold specks, which the use of gold emphasizes.

Gorgeous greenies should experiment with smoky colors, like brown and purple. It sounds odd for green eyes, but lavender complements green like coffee and cream. When selecting a brown color, think just that; mocha. Don’t go too dark or the brown will subtract from your naturally beautiful eyes.

For a little extra fun, sweep a muted color, like charcoal or chocolate, over your lids. Then, smudge a little beige or faint brown in the crease of your eye. Top it off by dotting the same color near the tear ducts on the inner corner of your eye.

In the evening, your makeup thoroughly depends on the night’s destination. Even then, heavy sparkles and wild color may or may not be the right choice. Keep in mind that evening light changes the look of your face, making you look a bit pinker. The same goes for your makeup. Do try for darker tones of your best color; they will show up better in dim light. Gold dust is still your friend in small amounts dotted in the corners and dabbed in the creases of your eyes.
